Character Name : Ekaterina Molokov

Race : Human/Oppsilian. The Oppsilians are an amphibious (but still humanoid and mammalian) race discovered by the Empire about 150 years ago. They were primitive, on the verge of mass extinction due to the rampant spread of disease and their lack of medical technology, but rich in magic. The Empire stepped in as "custodians" of their world and turned the Oppsilians into a slave race.

Description : 5'6" with grey skin, hair, and eyes. Has a column of gills on each side of her neck (and two sets of lungs, one for air and one for water). On close inspection, there are tiny scars between her fingers and toes where webbing was removed. Her hair is curled into odd, very tight ringlets and feels almost like cactus skin because of its natural waterproofing. Her human side includes Irish, German, Japanese, Belgian, Korean, Maori, Slovak, Ukrainian, Russian, and British blood; she occasionally jokes about how she is her own worst enemy due to some of these combinations. Katya is the asteroid's resident madam and sells slave girls on the side. She and Seleyn/Jareth have formed an alliance to protect each others' (and Jason's) interests and Katya is one of the few non-Athmari to know Jareth's real identity. She never seems to wear the same clothing twice, and the only thing that her outfits seem to have in common is that there isn't much to them. Despite being half-human and a little over a century old, she pulls this off admirably. Like Seleyn, her respect for an alien race is limited by how quickly members of that race pay their bills.

Magic Powers : Sending, shielding, healing (used mostly for pleasure-giving), flesh-shaping. The last is a carefully guarded secret for obvious reasons.
