Other Information: Moonstone graduated from the Academy with a major in software engineering and a minor in cybernetics, so naturally she has a great interest in a-life, sentient or not. There has been one attempt on her life in the course of her job, made by a rather clumsy human whom she embarrassed publicly ("You dipswitch! It's LIFO, not FIFO!" (if you're not a programmer, Don't Ask.)).

He tried to attack her in her quarters during her sleep shift, and Dawndagger took very good care of him. Now Moon keeps a dagger near her at all times (whether wolf or steel). She doesn't adhere to "the Way" very much; she gets more of her spiritual/day-to-day guidance from old Terran SF, mostly R. A. Heinlein.

Those who are familiar with Moon's programming ability and the way it meshes with her metal-shaping sometimes joke that she is destined to Recognize a machine.
